Start midfielder Steven Gerrard appeared at the Liverpool Crown Court last Friday and pleaded innocent to nightclub fight charges. Notably last December Gerrard was accused of being a part of a quarrel at the Lounge Inn nightclub in Southport, Liverpool which injured businessman Marcus McGee.

To the delight of football fans the trial has been adjourned till 20th July and Gerrard will be able to play without any interruption till the end of current premiership season.
