Your names not down, your not getting in!
New VIP passes are being trialled at this weekend’s O2 Wireless Festival so there is no confusion over guests identity.
Thanks to a new state-of-the-art dog tags and wristbands, if your on the guestlist VIP’s won’t have to argue with the bouncer on the door.
The system uses Near Field Communication (NFC) which is embedded into special passes that is hard to fake and is wireless. The NFC then enables the exchange of data between devices over about a 10 centimetre distance. This is the same technology found in Oyster Cards and Office Passes.
At O2 wireless it is within a gold guitar plectrum dog tag which has been designed by trendy fashion label Rodnik and wristbands by Swarovski crystal
A festival source said: “The tags are cool and carefully designed to stop fakers getting in. The gold is very bling and should go down a storm with the celebrity Jay Z fans.”
Among those who will be handed the tags are Gavin & Stacey star James Corden, underwear model Kimberley Stewart, DJ Peaches Geldof, actress Rachel Weiss and designer Jade Jagger. Maybe Peaches could have used these before she tried to gate crash Jay-z’s little bash.
