About Kensington Roof Gardens

The spectacular Kensington Roof Gardens offers a unique experience to nightclubbing.  Created in 1938 and once know as Derry & Toms Roof Gardens, but now owned by Sir Richard Branson. It has kept the same appeal as when it opened and has wowed many celebrities over the years.

If you arrive early enough you can past the velvet rope fairly quickly. You enter a lobby that looks no different from your average run-of-the-mill 5 star hotel. You are guide up to the 6th floor in express lifts, where the doors open and you finally get to see what all the fuss is about.  Kensington Roof Gardens dance floor is always jumping with a cool sexy crowd and the friendly staff are happy to help. Turn right to the outside and you are enchanted with the 1st of 3 gardens, 100 feet above Kensington high street over looking the sites of London. Turning left takes you through each of the themed gardens, in the style of a Spanish, Tutor Style and English woodland.  If you are ever feeling slightly peckish there is always the out-door barbeque, where the chef will cook your burger to your perfection.

Over the years there has been open no other nightclub has come close to this legendary venue, and doubt there every will, not Embassy London or Chinawhite. This 1.5 acre beautiful venue, fabulous restaurant, excellent night club and the right music all adds up to the ultimate party atmosphere. You could even bring your grand mother to Kensington Roof Gardens and she would be impressed; no other nightclub in London could even come close to this magically experience. Kensington Roof Gardens is the perfect in London for a birthday party, a romantic meal for two, a get-together with a group of friends or even a business celebration. Yes, there really are flamingos up there!

Comments and Reviews of Kensington Roof Gardens

So beautiful, this place was such a fun place to go with a bunch of friends. We happened to enter Roof Gardens early after 10pm, got a table and only had to order one bottle for the five of us. Not too bad. We choose to be on the dance floor and had so much room. The music was great, DJ changed it up, but kept things flowing. I danced all night long. Its pretty being outside, trees surrounding you and its a pretty big club. It was the beautiful people and a lot of fun. One thing that was a bother was that since we had such a big table...random people would just sit down. I wouldn\'t care too much but when the guys you are with are looking to hook up and the girls that sit down to talk to them bring their guys..it gets weird. Other than that....I had a great time in London. I can\'t wait to do it all over again. Maybe I will even get to go to the more exclusive clubs around London.

Decent music, very cool open air set up and a normal crowd. I\'d go back KRG!

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to go and celebrate my friend’s b-day a long with a couple of friends at the Roof gardens and it was a great experience. The service was excellent, the food was great and the atmosphere was very good. The only thing we had a problem with was that it got overcrowded. The music was great. I definitely recommend Kensington Roof Gardens to any one visting London.

Too expensive but really worth it after going up the elevator to the party on the roof top. The bartenders not fun! But, Great view and beautiful people.

We came from Spain and we had been told that it was absolutely necessary to go early at Roof Gardens; so we went there at 00.30 which we found by the way that was really late here... Next time we will be earlier. :-(

I went with a group of 15 friends to celebrate my birthday. Been to the Kensington Roof Gardens before and enjoyed myself thoroughly and Sat 2nd was no exception! The music was a lot more cheesy than my previous trips, which was excellent as it got everyone on the dance floor. Atmosphere was also excellent, but watch out for the suited clientele who hang round the bar who think they are frightfully posh for their own good and can be very rude to other partygoers! Had no problems getting in after telling the bouncers we were on BeOurGuests guestlist.

An ultimate place for public school boy. Went there with my gf, not as exclusive as I heard that it would be. The bar-tender are tossers. When I asked for a tap-water, they looked at me like scumbags… then I bought bottle of rose Crystal for 250 pounds…they worship me like God. Unbelievable. Overall? 2/10

I have been to the Roof Gardens twice & loved it the first time I went on a Saturday. However, when I visited on Sat 12th Feb with my girlfriends, expecting a great night, the bouncers were quite rude to us & turning away other people for no obvious reason. The music was nothing like the previous time I had been and despite all the people leaving the dance floor the DJ continued to play those tunes!

The Kensington Roof Gardens are notoriously tough to get into. Assuming you can get in, it’s very likely that you’re gonna bump into music icons along with agents and producers just looking to unwind and of course, be seen in one of London's most exclusive hangouts.

This is not the place for self-conscious people. Kensington roof garden is loaded with scantily clad beautiful people during the summer months and the gardens are a beauty for all to enjoy. Worth a visit just for the view.

I absolutely love it!! Easily the best nightclub in London. The view from the actual roof garden is unbelievable! Can't wait for Summer to come again!

The selection of drinks in kensignton roof gardens was below average unless you like champange but the roof top gardens make this one of the best night clubs around.

Roof Gardens was a fantastic night out. We did have to wait a while and it was early on, but we were told the fire alarms had gone off and they were ensuring all was ok. Unfortunately the flamigoes were locked up so we didn't get to see them.

Fantastic night out. We were parted as group. As I arrived earlier waiting around 10mins approx. My sister waited for 20-30mins. However, the atmosphere and music lifted our spirits. Absolutley scenic. We are already planning to return. Great cocktails, I think I had a mohita? Only downside very expensive drinks. Thank you.

drinks were way to expensive - and entrance, would be nice to get a discount considering we were on guestlist...otherwise beautiful venue and brill nite.

Second visit. Great time with friends. Very scenic and best of both worlds fun loving music and / or relax and chill out in the garden with some barbeque.
