About Umbaba

One of the most beautiful night clubs that London has to offer with an amazing African culture theme.  Umbaba is located the heart of Soho just off Carnaby Street, and was labelled as the new Chinawhite when it opened.

The entrance to Umbaba begins with a staircase leading to the basement, where the majestic feel of this London hot spot begins to unfold. Your senses are invoked with the beautiful incense and African artworks. At the end of the staircase is a small conveniently placed cloakroom. You are presented immediately with a stunning curved bar on your right. With a small tour of the venue you then find small passageways that lead to another lounge area and decor that is unsurpassed. The earthy colours, stone structures and a unique light installation, make’s this a club that you must visit.

Umbaba London has firmly established itself as a major player in the London nightclubbing scene. Upbeat and friendly, the crowd is always handpicked, so you can expect long queues is you don't arrive to Umbaba early. You’ve been warned!

Pleasantly surprising, the venue is more spacious than some of the other ‘elite’ nightclubs I’ve experienced in London. The décor throughout the venue in keeps with the African theme and creates a light airy and relaxed vibe in the club. Music ranges from funky house to RnB Located off Carnaby Street in London the club is in the heart of the west end. There is an extensive cocktail menu but as you would expect the drinks are pricey. Single spirits and mixers cost around £9 but for a luxurious night out are worth it.

I went with friends to Umbaba not thinking I would enjoy myself. There are not many clubs in London that I will go to. I was suprised to find that I had a great time. The music has a great beat and the crowd was a lot of fun. I will definitly go again.

This is one the best clubs in London. Dress nice or go home alone. The music is the best in the country.

My friends and I went to Umbaba nightclub to check it out. We have been to all of the clubs in London's west end- it takes a lot to amuse us. The music and DJ at Umbaba did more than amuse us...it blew us away. Well worth trying to get into this nightclub!!!!

We had a big birthday party at Umbaba this weekend and it was a blast. The DJ was great, the dancing never stopped, and the service was superb. They were very flexible with me in the planning and the guest list, the bouncers and bartenders were always looking out for me and my guests, and the drinks are great. I think its a great place to throw a party, and hope to do it again soon to this great London club.

Umbaba is an awe inspiring experience. Beautiful people, beautiful club. But, make sure to get there early! Queues can be long. The wait is definitely worth it though. Ordering a table seems to help jump those queues!

My mates and I loved Umbaba!! The bar was great, if a little pricey (but well worth it!), the crowd was glamourous and the music was so much fun...much better than the techno that you here everywhere nowadays. The staff were more than accomodating the whole night and overall we had a fantastic time. Highly recommended for anyone looking to have some fun in London
