About Volstead
The Ignite Group, owner of Boujis, has opened a 1920s-inspired members’ club. Named after Andrew Volstead, the congressman associated with the prohibition. Despite its back street location, Volstead attracts a hugh number of celebs thanks to a strict door policy, smart dress code and swish menu that includes truffled macaroni cheese and Wagyu beefburgers.
Delicious retro 1920s cocktails are on offer, alongside champagne and several unusual bourbons and rye whiskies. The prices are pretty standard for this type of West End club, and the drinks are nice, if not particularly strong.
Comments and Reviews of Volstead
Very fun dance club. I felt like I got a chance to see a real London scene, different from New York. Everyone was dressed so beautiful and nice and very good music.- Boot Luv | 21 March 2008
